Congratulations! You have selected a career field that could not be more exciting or more challenging. Not only are geophysicists using state-of-the-art technology to solve every sort of geophysical problem, but we have opportunities to work all over the world, remotely from our home computer, or in a high-tech office building.

Exploration Geophysics careers are in such widely varying industries as oil & gas exploration, mining, environmental studies, planetary physics and even archaeology!

In the world of research and teaching, the list is equally endless - plate tectonics, volcanology, hydrology - and so many different methods of investigation are used! Seismic, electromagnetic methods, potential fields, ground penetrating radar - it's just a matter of picking what interests you!
