Color rates$375 per color added to black/white advertisement (single-process colors). $475 per standard, matched, custom or metallic color added to advertisement. $900 for full-color advertisement, any size (process colors). $1550 for full-color spread advertisements. BleedNo extra charge for bleed advertisements. Issue and Closing Dates:Issue distributed last of January, March, May, July, September, and November. Contact SEG Advertising Department for general closing dates for orders and mechanical deadlines. Terms:Net 30 days (no cash discount). Agency commission allowed is 15%. If payment is not received within 60 days of invoice date, the advertiser may be invoiced for gross amount. Invoice rendered after distribution date. Contract and Copy Regulations: Regulations suggested by Standard Rate & Data Service, Inc. have been adopted by GEOPHYSICS.
Spread advertisements should be produced as two separate mechanicals. Bleed Size:8½" × 11⅛". All type and essential portions of illustrations should be kept within 8" × 10⅝". Method of printing:Web offset press, perfect bound. Screens:133-line screen recommended. We cannot guarantee the printing results of an ad with fi ne type (or type with fi ne serif) that has been reversed out of a dark background. Use of PMS or other match colors may affect an ad's position in the publication. Any work that is required before publishing will appear as an additional charge on your invoice. Desired results on color proofs must be achieved within SWOP standards if a match is desired on the printed job. Variance from IAP density on proofs should not exceed +10. Combined ink saturation in shadow areas should not exceed 280. Copies of SWOP specifi cations are available upon request.
