Navigation/Positioning Data Processor/QC
Position Summary:
NCS SubSea Inc is currently seeking a Navigation/Positioning Data Processor/QC. This is an intermediate level position. The Data Processor/QC is responsible for processing navigation and positioning data, verifying the accuracy of collected data, and investigating anomalies associated with the data. This position is a full time, year- round, office based position in Houston, Texas and requires residence within commuting distance of our office located in Stafford, Texas.
Skills Preferred:
- B.S. degree or higher in Geostatistics, Geomatics, Mathematics or related discipline.
- Exposure to field operations and/or factors contributing to the quality of navigation & positioning data.
- Proficiency in data reduction using packages such as Excel, SPSS, Matlab etc. is required.
- Strong analytical skills and an interest in statistical problem solving.
- Good oral and written English.
- Ability to work within deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with CAD and GIS packages.
- Particular consideration will be given to applicants with previous navigation data processing experience.
