Vice President, Project Services

Position Summary:

The VP, Project Services guides and manages a small team of representatives around the world to supply our clients with raster information to improve the efficiency in the discovery and production of hydrocarbons around the world.

Major Areas of Responsibilities and Job Requirements:

  1. This position requires knowledge of the oil and gas industry as well as the capabilities of various air and space borne sensor systems and analytic functions that can be applied to the information. In addition to managing the group you will be expected to make substantial personal contribution to the provisioning of imagery to clients, training of clients and internal staff.

  2. Project Services takes information about the location of a clients imagery needs and the user application. PS then searches archives, new tasking options paired with processing and analytic requirements to formulate a proposed plan of action for the client. These plans along with pricing guidelines are given to the responsible sales person for presentation to the client.

  3. Overseeing the proper management of service level satisfaction with SE major accounts.

  4. In cooperation with other Senior Managers, assist in the management of relationships with Spatial Energy's key suppliers with a focus on the technical requirements and timing.

  5. As required, meet with SE key clients to present our value proposition. The VP is expected to develop and maintain both internal and external educational material about all of the imagery and derived products offered by Spatial Energy. This position is also called upon to present this information at trade shows, technical conferences, formal presentations at client offices and project specific presentation and conferences.

  6. Manage the transition of our current data base to an enterprise level with the objective of creating a seamless link between existing financial and sales reporting systems.

  7. Product Development: The VP of Project Services is an active member of the product development team. You will be expected to be familiar with developments in the imagery market place as new sensors and methods become available. The VP is expected to make products commercially and operationally available at the earliest opportunity.

Work Environment:

Spatial Energy is a very dynamic work environment. Project Services has as one of its primary goals speed of service. In a single day all aspects of the job can be expected to be touched and multiple customer projects involved.

Experience Required:

  • Ten+ years work history in the oil and gas industry, or an energy service provider.
  • Knowledge of major applications used in the collection and analysis of raster information.
  • Familiarity with geologic, geophysical and/or engineering workflows and the application of remote sensing techniques.
  • Strong computer skills with strong knowledge of a G&G or GIS technical application are required.
  • Minimum formal education of Bachelor Degree in Geoscience or related discipline is expected.
  • The incumbent will be available for an approximately one year transition period.
