Matt Hall

Matt Hall is an exploration geoscientist at ConocoPhillips with 14 years' experience in the petroleum industry. He graduated with a PhD in sedimentology from the University of Manchester in 1998. Whilst at Manchester he copyedited manuscripts and proof-read for Elsevier's math journals. Since 2004, Matt has written and presented about 20 papers on a wide range of subjects including spectral decomposition, geomorphology, image processing, irrationality, open source software, and social network analysis. He was an 'outstanding' reviewer for Geophysics in 2009. Matt is a registered geologist and geophysicist of Alberta and Nova Scotia.
