Steve Hill
Before entering the petroleum industry, Steve Hill earned a PhD in astrophysics and was a professor at Michigan State University. Steve was a 25-year employee at Conoco, serving primarily in seismic processing-related functions. Steve was manager of Conoco's seismic processing center. Steve created his first seismic processing course in 1979. In his current role as an adjunct associate professor at Colorado School of Mines, Steve teaches the CSM seismic processing course.
Steve also contributes to the SEG, having served as the SEG Secretary/Treasurer and Finance Committee Chair. Steve is currently the Publications Policy Committee chair, member of the Publications Committee, Geophysicsassociate editor, and TLE special editor. Steve authors the bi-monthly TLE column Geophysics Bright Spots.
