Kerry Key

Kerry Key earned a B.S. in Earth Sciences and a Ph.D. in Geophysics from the University of California, San Diego and is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at Scripps Institution of Oceanography. He has worked in marine electromagnetic methods for the past 10 years and has participated in nearly 30 marine research cruises. His Ph.D. research focused on using the marine magnetotelluric method to image both volcanic structures at mid-ocean ridges and salt structures on the continental shelf. His current research is centered around the development of advanced numerical algorithms for modeling and interpreting marine electromagnetic data. He is a member of the SEG and an associate editor for Geophysics, and has been a co-instructor for this course since 2006.
