We invite eight teams of two students (graduate or undergraduate) from any university or college to enter the second Sooner SEG Challenge Bowl 14 March, 2008 at 7 p.m. at the University of Oklahoma. The Challenge Bowl will take place during the AAPG/SEG Spring Break Student Expo and is a chance for university students to display their geophysical and geological knowledge.

Teams will compete against pairs of students from other universities or colleges. The format will consist of single and multiple choice questions from a range of geophysical (and geological) topics. Eight teams are eligible. The prize for the winning team will be an expense-paid trip to the SEG Annual Meeting in Las Vegas (November 2008), where they will compete in the 3rd Annual SEG Challenge Bowl and have the chance to win valuable cash prizes.

Participants are required to be SEG members. If you are not a member, click here for information on membership. Please remember that student membership dues have been sponsored by Paradigm and CGGVeritas, so it's free!
