The African Geosciences Student Conference (AGSC) was hosted by the University of Lagos, Geosciences Students Society, a student chapter of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists, American Association of Petroleum Geologists, and the Nigerian Association of Petroleum Exploration. The conference was held 8-11 May 2013 on campus at the University of Lagos in Akoka, Nigeria. The theme for AGSC 2014 was Africas's Metamorphism: Defining The Contributions Of The Next Generation of Geoscientists.
