SEG, AAPG, EAGE, and the 3rd IGSC Committee sponsored the 3rd International Geosciences Student Conference (IGSC) on 29-31 May in Belgrade, Serbia. Organized by students, this conference brought together students and industry professionals to participate in a number of activities geared towards career development. Attendees took advantage of lecturers (industry and academic), exhibitions, interviews, field trips, poster presentations, and more, not to mention participation in the SEG Challenge Bowl, with the winning team awarded all expenses paid trip to the 82nd SEG Annual Meeting & Exposition in Las Vegas, Nevada (4-7 November 2012) to compete in the Seventh Annual SEG Challenge Bowl finals for a cash prize. | | |
