SEG, AAPG & EAGE announce 3rd IGSC

SEG, AAPG, EAGE, and the 3rd IGSC Committee invite students to participate in the upcoming 3rd International Geosciences Student Conference (IGSC) held 29-31 May in Belgrade, Serbia.

This student organized conference will gather students and industry professionals to participate in a number of activities geared towards career development. Programs include: lecturers/industry and academic, exhibitions, interviews, field trips, poster presentations, and more.

In conjunction with the 3rd IGSC, students have the ability to participate in the SEG Challenge Bowl! Teams of two are invited to enter the SEG Challenge Bowl, which will be held 31 May 2012 at the Continental Hotel in Belgrade, Serbia.

This is a chance for geoscience students to display their geophysical knowledge in a fun, rapid-fire contest!  The winning team will receive an expense-paid trip to the 82nd SEG Annual Meeting & Exposition in Las Vegas, Nevada (4-7 November 2012), where they will compete in the Seventh Annual SEG Challenge Bowl finals and will have the opportunity to win a cash prize. Participants also will have the opportunity to network with industry professionals, receive free admission to the SEG Annual Meeting and Technical Sessions, and attend other student-related activities.
