Notes It is not a prerequisite that members of Student Chapters be members of SEG in order to obtain a charter. However, we encourage them to join if they choose. The Constitution of the proposed Chapter will need to be approved by the SEG Constitution and Bylaws Committee. Any deviations from SEG's "Model" Constitution will be carefully considered by the Constitution and Bylaws Committee. The Executive Committee will vote on the proposed Chapter's petition and, if approved, issue a charter. Once chartered, the Society will provide a complimentary subscription to Geophysics and The Leading Edge to the Student Chapter in care of the Faculty Advisor.
