SEG Events Geophysics is an ever-advancing science. To keep up with the changes and anticipate what's coming in the future, geophysicists are constantly educating themselves through networking and attending courses, seminars, and meetings.
To help its members stay on top of the changing technology, SEG sponsors many meetings around the world, including meetings on five continents in 1998. In addition SEG works with other organizations and businesses around the world to create the most comprehensive listing of meetings as possible.
SEG's most visible event each year is its International Exposition and Annual Meeting, a tradition lasting almost seven decades. SEG also sponsors many meetings, courses, and conventions that geophysicists may need to refer to after the event has passed.
