Topic: Exploration in Hard-to-Access and Complex Geological Areas: Gazprom Experience (Abstract)

Biography: Vsevolod Cherepanov is currently a Member of the Management Committee and the Head of the Gas, Gas Condensate and Oil Production Department at Gazprom, Russia’s largest Oil and Gas Company. He received his PhD in Geology and Minerology from Lomonosov Moscow State University. Dr. Cherepanov has served in several positions over his years with Gazprom, working his way up from Operator, Well Testing Foreman at the Nadymgazprom Scientific and Technical Center to Lead Geologist Specializing in Petro-Physics and the Lead geologist at the Nadymgazprom Geological Division in only four years. By 1999 he had reached Head of the Geological Division and Chief Geologist at the Nadym Oil and Gas Production Directorate. From 2008 to 2010 he served as Deputy Director General—Chief Geologist at Gazprom dobycha Nadym. (Information taken from Gazprom website.)
