In addition to viewing the King Tutankhamen exhibit, attendees were able to view the lost Rembrandt discovered in 2007 as well as works by world-renowned artists like Picasso, Monet, and Goya. Approximately 1250 tickets were sold prior to the event with a limited number available at the door. Five food stations were located in the first and second floor lobbies. In keeping with the theme of the evening, some of the stations featured Egyptian-themed food like Egyptian meatballs, pitas, and hummus. In addition to the variety of food, attendees were treated to entertainment from a live band and a cello and violin duet. Roaming Egyptian-themed performing artists also enlivened the evening. SEG attendees could have their pictures taken with a pharaoh, an Egyptian queen, or a centurion to commemorate the event. This event drew a range of SEG Annual Meeting participants who spoke well of both the art exhibits and the entertainment. Click here for event photos Related Annual Meeting News: | | | |
