Four Global Affairs Committee Luncheon Meetings are scheduled during this year’s Annual Meeting. All delegates with international interests are cordially invited to attend and participate in these events. Tickets for the meetings can be purchased in advance (see registration form) or onsite (in limited quantities) at the Event Ticket Sales Booth located in the Registration Area. Biography: Weidong Chen is the executive vice president, the chief strategy officer, and the company secretary of China Oilfield Services Limited (COSL), CNOOC of China. He graduated from the Ocean University of China with a BS in geology and received his MBA from Peking University in July 2001. He joined the CNOOC group in 1982 after graduation from Ocean University. He joined COSL as a vice president in 2001. He has worked in the oil and gas industry for more than 20 years.

Topic: Exploration in The Magdalena Fan (Colombia): How technology breathed new life into an old basin
Biography: Claudia Ruiz-Graham, a Colombian national, who graduated from National University in Colombia with a BS in geology, earned an MSc in basin evolution and dynamics from Royal Holloway, and received her MBA from London Business School. She has 15 years of experience in regional exploration and prospect generation in Colombia, Angola, Iranian Zagros, Arabian Plate, and Equatorial Guinea. She is currently BP’s exploration manager offshore Colombia and is based in Bogotá.
Biography: John Oliver is approaching 20 years of experience with BP, with core skills in geophysics and global experience as an explorationist. He has recently taken on the role of managing exploration renewal strategy in South America after three years in BP’s internal exploration audit team, where he has had contact with the breadth of BP’s exploration portfolio.

Biography: Jon Stigant holds a BS in Engineering Science from Durham, UK. He spent 11 years in the Royal Navy as a hydrographic surveyor. Mr. Stigant has worked for a number of companies including Recal Decca, Wimpol, Inc., Chevron, and Devon Energy. He is currently vice chairman of the new JIP “Geospatial Integrity of Geophysical Software” and vice chairman of OGP’s Survey and Positioning committee.

Biography: Nansen G. Saleri is the chief executive officer and president of Quantum Reservoir Impact, LLC based in Houston and is the former head of reservoir management, Saudi Aramco (1998-2007). Saleri worked for Chevron (1974-1992) before joining Saudi Aramco and served as manager of reservoir engineering, Houston, Texas. He holds MSc and PhD degrees from the University of Virginia and BSc from Bosphorus University in chemical engineering.
