Member delegate registration
Member delegate registrants will receive all benefits of a delegate registration listed above including admittance to the Technical Program. Member registration will require SEG Member ID number, which can be located on your 2009 membership card.

Nonmember delegate registration
If registering as a nonmember delegate, by signing the Code of Ethics on the registration form and approval of the Executive Committee, you will become an Associate Member and receive membership privileges for the year 2010. A nonmember delegate will receive all benefits of delegate registration listed above.

Spouse Program registration
When registering for the Spouse Program, you will receive a spouse bag, admission to the Sunday evening Icebreaker and Monday morning SEG Forum, the Sunday afternoon Honors and Awards Ceremony and Presidential Session, the Spouse Luncheon on Tuesday, and spouse seminars (not the Technical Program). For a complete list of all Spouse Program activities, see page 20.

Student delegate registration
Student SEG Members will be admitted to the Annual Meeting at an exceptional low-cost registration fee of US$25. For only US$60, a nonmember student may attend the Annual Meeting and, upon signing the Code of Ethics found on the registration form, receive student membership benefits for the year 2010. To obtain student delegate status, a student must be attending an accredited institution of higher learning and must submit a copy of a student identification card when registering in advance, or show a student ID at the on-site registration desk. An SEG Member ID number is required for student member registration. SEG members can locate the Member ID number on their 2009 membership cards. Student registration includes all the benefits of a delegate registration listed above and free admission to convention workshops.

One-day delegate registration: A one-day delegate registration will include admission to the Technical Program and the International Exposition for that single day. Tickets for the Sunday evening Icebreaker, Monday morning SEG Forum, and SEG Oktoberfest may be purchased separately via advance or on-site registration. An SEG Member ID number will be required for one-day member registration. Member ID numbers are located on 2009 membership cards.

Emeritus and retired SEG members
The SEG Executive Committee is pleased to again extend a discount to its emeritus and retired members. Emeritus or retired member registration will require an SEG Member ID number. SEG members can locate the Member ID numbers on 2009 membership cards. Emeritus and retired members receive all the benefits of a delegate registration.

Registration guidelines

You may register in advance and receive a discount, or register at the meeting venue—the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas. You can participate in advance registration three ways—on the Web, by fax, or by mail. The advance Pricing Registration deadline is 22 September 2009. Advance On-site Pricing Registration begins 23 September 2009 and continues through 14 October 2009, 5 p.m. CDT. To allow adequate time for processing and mailing of registration materials, no registration received after 14 October 2009 will be processed. Delegates who have not registered by 5 p.m. CDT on 14 October 2009 must register on-site.

Please follow these steps to ensure receipt of badge, bag, tickets, and exchange vouchers:

  1. If registering during the advance registration period via the Web, the registration form may be found at this location.
  2. Complete the advance registration form. Registration materials will be mailed to your address on the registration form only if marked and the applicable mailing fee is paid.
  3. Full payment in U.S. dollars must accompany any registration. No applications will be processed without full payment.
  4. Use a separate form for each person registering, including spouses. Professionals may not register as a spouse.
  5. Registration fees are payable to “Society of Exploration Geophysicists” drawn on U.S. banks in U.S. dollars only.
  6. SEG accepts VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and Diners Club. No exceptions, please.
  7. If registering as an SEG Member, you must enter your membership ID on the registration form. The six-digit ID numbers appear on 2009 membership cards.
