Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens Tour - CANCELLED
Bayou Bend, the magnifi cent home of Miss Ima Hogg, is the extraordinary legacy of a remarkable woman. Best known for her superb collection of American decorative arts, Miss Hogg was also largely responsible for Bayou Bend’s innovative architecture and breathtaking gardens. The tour will include both the spectacular home and the gardens. The home is filled with thousand of objects that showcase American decorative arts from 1620 through 1870. As the group tours the gardens, they will realize what Miss Hogg created; the gardens were intended as outdoor rooms for living and entertaining, not just gardens to be viewed. This tour also includes lunch.
Luncheon Entertainment
This luncheon is designed to give you an opportunity to catch up with old friends and take the opportunity to make new ones in a relaxing atmosphere! Upon entering the luncheon, you will be greeted by roaming magicians and a gypsy-costumed fortune teller. Feel free to sit where you may and converse with your friends. The various characters will stroll through the room, pausing at tables to provide fun and entertainment. The magicians’ sleight of hand might leave more than a few eyes wide open, and the fortune teller will offer lighthearted and intriguing glimpses into the future.
