On-site Registration Guidelines

For your convenience, please complete a registration form in advance and proceed to any on-site registration counter at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas, during the event.

No refund of on-site conference registration fee is permitted.

Delegates who elected not to participate will forfeit their registration fees. SEG reserves the right to cancel any event if the minimum registration is not met. In the event of an SEG cancellation, registration fees associated with said event will be refunded.


One Icebreaker ticket is included with each of the above registrations. Tickets to the Wednesday night event: Viva! Old Mexico Meets Texas are available for a US$20 purchase by any SEG registrant in the above categories. Individuals not registered in any of the above categories may purchase tickets for US$60 via advance or on-site registration. One drink coupon is included with the Wednesday night event. Space is limited.

Delegate Benefits

As a delegate, your registration fee will include the following:

  • Admission to Sunday's Presidential Address
  • Admission to ALL Technical Program Sessions
  • Admission to the Monday morning SEG Forum
  • Admission to the International Exposition (including the Sunday evening Icebreaker)
  • Exchange voucher for a delegate registration bag
  • Official Program and Exhibitors Directory with a Technical Program schedule
  • Admission to the Tuesday evening Honors & Awards Ceremony
  • Admission to Wednesday's Applied Science Education Program

Delegate Types

Member Delegate: Member delegate registrants will receive all benefits of a delegate registration listed above including admittance to the Technical Program. Member Delegate registration will require a valid SEG Member ID number

Nonmember Delegate: A nonmember delegate will receive all benefits of delegate registration listed above.

Spouse Program Registration: Spouses/companions of registered delegates may attend the optional Spouse Program for an additional, reasonable registration fee. When registering for the Spouse Program, your spouse/companion will receive a special spouse program bag, admission to the Sunday evening Icebreaker and Monday morning SEG Forum, the Tuesday evening Honors and Awards Ceremony, the Spouse Luncheon on Tuesday, and Spouse Seminars (not the Technical Program). Those who derive income from any geophysics-related activities are considered Professionals and may not register as a spouse.

Student Delegate Registration: Student SEG Members will be admitted to the Annual Meeting at an exceptional low-cost registration fee of US$30. A SEG Member ID number is required for student member registration. Nonmember students may attend the Annual Meeting for US$70. Proof of current student status is required for all Student Delegate registration and includes all the benefits of a delegate registration listed above.

One-day Delegate Registration: A one-day delegate registration will include admission to the Technical Program and the International Exposition for that single day (select MON, TUE, or WED). Tickets for the Sunday evening Icebreaker, and the Wednesday evening event: Viva! Old Mexico Meets Texas may be purchased separately via advance or on-site registration. SEG Member Delegate registration requires an SEG Member ID number.

Emeritus and Retired SEG Members: The SEG Executive Committee is pleased to again extend a discount to its emeritus and retired members. Emeritus or retired member registration will require an SEG Member ID number. Emeritus and retired members receive all the benefits of a delegate registration.
