Student Career Panel

Monday, 19 September, 1:00–3:00 p.m., Grand Hyatt San Antonio

Join us as we explore the exciting career opportunities in the field of geophysics. The Student Career Panel will bring together senior-level managers and new hires from an international oil company, an independent U.S. oil company, a geophysical service company, and a university. Students will gain knowledge about the different kinds of careers available to them upon graduation.


SEG Challenge Bowl Finals

Monday, 19 September, 3:00–6:00 p.m., Grand Hyatt San Antonio

The Challenge Bowl competition is an international contest testing students' depth of knowledge in the field of geoscience. Winners of Regional competitions will compete for the Grand Prize. Join us for an exciting afternoon of competition and to cheer on your school or favorite team!  


Student Networking Event

Monday, 19 September, 6:00–8:00 p.m., Grand Hyatt San Antonio

The Student Networking Event provides students an opportunity to network with industry recruiters in a relaxed atmosphere. Students can meet sponsors and visit with faculty and friends. Join us for an exciting evening of networking, food, drinks, and fun! Mark your calendar because this is one event you won't want to miss! (This event is limited to students, active faculty advisors, and company sponsors only.)


Career Placement Area

Sunday thru Wednesday, 18–21 September, during exhibition hours, Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, Exhibit Hall D

The Career Placement Area provides job seekers and students a place to post résumés and visit with company representatives. Companies will have individual booths for discussions about employment opportunities, internships, educational requirements, and interviews for potential employment.
