W-8 Seismic Acquisition New Technologies: What for Who? Date: Thursday, 22 September Description: New systems for seismic acquisition have been recently introduced by different technology providers. Each one is designed to provide new features and to open applications for advanced solutions to address more and more complex imaging problems. The objectives of this workshop are to present and review some of these technologies by the people who designed these tools and, if available, show geophysical field cases where they have been applied. These presentations will cover, but will not be limited to, onshore seismic, offshore seismic, surface seismic, borehole seismic, and nonconventional seismic. Invited speakers will present their experiences of deploying and applying these technologies and what they have learned and gained from them. They will come from both Service Companies and from Oil and Gas Companies. The panel will include tool designers and technology users. A panel session at the end of the workshop will aim at exchanging ideas and experiences between the speakers and the audience. |
