Technical Program Special Sessions Technical Luncheons Workshops With more than 1150 abstracts received for review, this year’s Technical Program includes 88 diverse sessions. Geoscience professionals from all geophysical disciplines and all parts of the world are represented. Technical Sessions will run from Monday to Thursday, and Convention Workshops will run Thursday through Friday. The Technical Program will start on Monday at 1:30 p.m., following the SEG Forum. It will include eight Special Sessions throughout the week. Poster sessions will be held in the Exhibit Hall and Mandalay Bay Ballroom K through Wednesday, while eleven oral sessions rooms will run consecutively through Thursday at noon. Immediately following will be Convention Workshops. Convention Workshops are organized by the Research Committee, with additional workshops planned through the support of the Interpretation Committee, Gravity and Magnetics Committee, Mining and Geothermal Committee, Near Surface Geophysics Section, and Environmental and Engineering Geophysical Society. Thirteen workshops are planned for Thursday afternoon and Friday. Be sure to pre-register for workshops on your Advance Registration Form. Luncheons with guest speakers will be held on Tuesday for Gravity and Magnetics, and the Near Surface Geophysics Section, and on Wednesday for Development and Production, and Mining and Geothermal. Preliminary review of abstracts suggests that attendees will be able to see the latest in geophysical technology and explore new theories. The Technical Session schedule is now available online.
