The Geophysical Society of Houston, in collaboration with SEG, will honor the giants of geophysics in this two-day symposium, Imaging the Reservoir. This symposium, honoring Emeritus Professor of Geophysics at Stanford University, Jon Claerbout, is not limited to traditional reservoir imaging but extends to emerging unconventional reservoirs that have opened up a whole new realm for the geophysicist – explorationist.

This two-day symposium will include invited and contributed papers on recent innovations in imaging reservoirs in different geologic settings. It will take place 6-7 April 2011 at the Westchase Hilton (Houston). A Gala dinner, organized to allow attendees and their spouses to honor Jon Claerbout through toasting and roasting and to share in the fellowship of colleagues, will be held on the evening of 6 April 2011.
