2012 Development and Production Forum Unconventional Resources: Multiscale, Multidisciplinary Integration of Subsurface Data This Forum has almost reached capacity. Only a few registration slots remain before the forum is sold out, and registrations will no longer be accepted. 15-19 July 2012 Banff, Alberta, Canada Maximizing the full potential of all subsurface information, from multiple disciplines and disparate scales, continues to challenge geophysicists, geologists, and subsurface engineers. Participants of the 2012 SEG Development and Production Forum will discuss advances and examples in the area of reservoir characterization and performance prediction as applied to unconventional resources. The five day meeting in Banff, Alberta will probe common issues and solutions in an informal setting with both poster and oral sessions with ample time for discussion. Forum Process: - The committee will review applications to determine acceptance

Registration The registration fee prior to 13 June is US$738. The late registration fee beginning 14 June is US$838. Student Sponsorship Student sponsorship is available. Sponsorship will be used to pay for a student's registration to this meeting. If you are a student and interested in applying for student sponsorship, please fill out the registration form and in the appropriate section, indicate that you are a student and interested in applying for student sponsorship. This form must be returned by 13 June. Note that sponsorship is limited, and students presenting at the meeting will be given priority. Meeting Location The meeting will be held at the RimRock Resort Hotel, Banff, Alberta, Canada. Hotel A block of hotel rooms have been reserved at the RimRock Resort Hotel at a discounted rate of CAD $189. Rates are subject to tax. Those who reserve rooms within this block will receive complimentary self-parking, and discounted internet connections. Reservation requests must be made by 28 June 2012 in order to ensure a reservation at the group rate. If you must cancel your reservation for any reason, please do so 72 hours prior to your scheduled arrival, otherwise cancellation charges may apply. Transportation The Rimrock Resort Hotel is located on Sulphur Mountain in Banff National Park, a 5 minute drive from the Banff town site. The Hotel is 1.5 hours west of Calgary International Airport (approx 90 miles/145 kilometres). Direct or one-stop flights connect to Calgary International Airport from most major North American, Asian and European centers. Coach service to Banff and car rentals are available at the Calgary International Airport. Meeting Format The meeting will comprise a mixture of poster and oral presentations. Posters will be displayed all week to allow opportunity for focused discussion among small groups. As in previous years, the poster sessions start with a short two slide introduction. Delegates will have the opportunity to attend all posters during formal sessions. Oral presentations will complement the poster sessions and will include keynote speakers. Experience of previous D&P Forums is that discussion sessions are lively and wide-ranging: the proportion of delegates that actively participate is always high. Acceptance Direct participation of all Forum attendees is mandatory. Participation may be through poster, oral presentation or discussion contributions. Neither oral nor poster presentations is a requirement in order to be accepted for registration. If the number of applicants exceeds the capacity of the conference facilities, then preference will be given to presenters. Visa information invitation letter Participants in the Development and Production Forum may generate an official invitation letter using the form below. This form will generate a letter which you can print and use in obtaining a visa. For those whose company or organization is planning on sending more than one individual to the workshop, additional documentation may be required for scheduling an appointment with the local Canadian embassy. If additional assistance is required, fill out a separate invitation letter for each individual requesting a visa using the form below. Each invitation letter has a unique reference number. Produce one cover letter listing all individuals requesting a visa. The letter must include the following information for each individual. - Name

- Date and place of birth

- Reference number from the invitation letter
