2013 Development and Production Forum

Integrated Geophysics for Unconventional Resources

7-11 July 2013
Krakow, Poland

This forum aims for an open discussion on unconventional reservoirs with particular emphasis on shale gas development. Exchange of scientific knowledge on topics ranging from shale characterization, to geophysical attributes, to public perception will provide a broad review and facilitate cross-subject communication at this forum.
The committee welcomes contributions for poster and oral presentations that fall within the topic of integrated geophysics for unconventional resources. 

Forum Process

1. The committee will review applications to determine acceptance.
2. If you were accepted you would have been notified in April 2013.
3. Once you have been accepted you will receive registration and housing information by email.
4. Register and pay the fee to attend this forum.
5. Make housing reservations with the hotel.
6. Enjoy the workshop and make some great contacts.
    

• Registration
  The registration fee prior to 5 June is US$970.
  The late registration fee beginning 6 June is US$1070.
   
• Meeting Format
  The meeting will comprise a mixture of poster and oral presentations. As in previous years, the poster sessions start with a short one slide introduction. Delegates will have the opportunity to attend all posters during formal sessions. Oral presentations will complement the poster sessions. Experience of previous forums is that discussion sessions are lively and wide-ranging: the proportion of delegates that actively participate is always high.
  
  The meeting will be held at the Sheraton Krakow Hotel in Krakow, Poland.
   

• Hotel
  Rooms have been reserved at the following rates at the Sheraton Krakow: 

  ♦ Single Occupancy- PLN 595
  ♦ Double Occupancy- PLN 655

  The hotel is holding rooms at this rate only until 5 June. After this date, rates are subject to change and rooms will only be available on a space available basis. Therefore, it is recommended that hotel reservations be made by 5 June.

  • Monday, 8 July - Morning and afternoon sessions
  • Tuesday, 9 July - Morning and afternoon sessions
  • Wednesday, 10 July - Morning and afternoon sessions
  • Thursday, 11 July - Morning session
     
• Acceptance
  Direct participation of all workshop attendees is mandatory. Participation may be through poster, oral presentation or discussion contributions. Neither oral nor poster presentations is a requirement in order to be accepted for registration. If the number of applicants exceeds the capacity of the conference facilities, then preference will be given to presenters.
   

Visa information/invitation letter

Participants in the SEG 2013 D&P Forum may generate an official invitation letter using the form below. This form will generate a letter which you can print and use in obtaining a visa. 

For those whose company or organization is planning on sending more than one individual to the forum, additional documentation may be required for scheduling an appointment with the local Polish embassy. If additional assistance is required, fill out a separate invitation letter for each individual requesting a visa using the form below. Each invitation letter has a unique reference number. Produce one cover letter listing all individuals requesting a visa. The letter must include the following information for each individual. 

• Name
• Passport number
• Date and place of birth
• Nationality as it appears on the passport
• Reference number from the invitation letter

Please note that this letter does not guarantee that you will be granted a visa, nor does it commit SEG to pay any expenses you may incur. It is the sole responsibility of the attendee to obtain the necessary paperwork for entry to Poland.
