Workshop fees

Registration for the Summer Research Workshop to be held 20-24 July in Galway, Ireland is now closed. Thank you to everyone who submitted an abstract to present at the SRW. This workshop will have a solid, exciting program because of the great work to be presented.

In order to encourage audience participation, attendance will be limited to 100. There will be no on-site registration. You must be pre-registered to attend this workshop.

US$685.00 per person on or before 10 June
US$785.00 per person after 10 June

Please note: Hotel costs, transportation costs, and meals for additional family members are not included in this registration fee. The SRW committee is currently working to secure sponsorship monies to assist with student registration. Priority will be given to students giving a presentation.

Workshop process
  1. Committee will review applications and papers to determine acceptance.
  2. If you have been accepted you will be notified by 1 May.
  3. Once you have been accepted you will receive registration and housing information by e-mail.
  4. Register and pay the fee to attend the workshop.
  5. Submit your housing form with your registration form.
  6. Enjoy the workshop and make some great contacts.

Hotel information
SEG has secured a limited number of hotel rooms at the Radisson SAS Hotel in Galway; a discounted rate is available for meeting delegates.

Room Rates:

  • Bed and breakfast for a standard single room: EUR160.00 or approximately US$250.00 plus tax
  • Bed and breakfast for standard double/twin room: EUR180.00 or approximately US$280.00 plus tax

You will receive reservation instructions once you have been accepted to attend this workshop.

Visa information invitation letters
Participants in the Summer Research Workshop may generate an official invitation letter using the form below. This form will generate a letter which you can print and use in obtaining a visa.

For those whose company or organization is planning on sending more than one individual to the workshop, additional documentation may be required for scheduling an appointment with the local Irish embassy. If additional assistance is required, fill out a separate Invitation Letter for each individual requesting a visa using the form below. Each Invitation Letter has a unique reference number. Produce one cover letter listing all individuals requesting a visa. The letter must include the following information for each individual: name, passport number, date and place of birth, and nationality as it appears on the passport as well as the reference number from the Invitation Letter. Fax these forms together with the cover letter printed on the group's official stationery to +1.918.497.5557, attention Visa Letter Assistance.
