RPS Group acquires knowledge reservoir

19 April 2013—Knowledge Reservoir announced its acquisition by RPS Group (RPS). RPS is a global, multidisciplinary consultancy providing advice upon the exploration and production of oil and gas and other natural resources, and the development and management of the built and natural environment. Listed on the London Stock Exchange, RPS employs more than 5,000 people in the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, the United States, Canada, Brazil, Africa, the Middle East Australia and Asia. The new organization will be known as RPS Knowledge Reservoir.

Ivor Ellul and the Knowledge Reservoir management team, along with all current staff, will remain with the business, which will continue to operate from its existing office locations.

 

PGS reveals the ultimate seismic acquisition platform

26 April 2013—PGS named their new seismic acquisition vessel, Ramform Titan, at MHI yard in Nagasaki, Japan. The 24-streamer vessel is the widest ship in the world at the waterline. She is the first of four such vessels to be built in Japan. Her 70-m broad stern has 24-streamer reels: 16 reels aligned abreast, and 8 reels further forward.
