Blueback Rock Physics releases new plug-in for Petrel

29 August 2013—Blueback Reservoir announced the release of a new plug-in for Petrel.

The plug-in is an integrated suite of rock physics tools for quantitative interpretation across multiple domains within Petrel. Fully integrated into Petrel, this tool allows asset teams to optimize the value of seismic data, reducing exploration risk, measuring uncertainty, and improving reservoir forecasting. It can be combined to perform a variety of rock physics based workflows to maximize understanding of available data.

 

Wireless Seismic announces promotions for Scott Williams and John Flavell Smith

29 August 2013—Wireless Seismic announced the promotions of Scott Williams to vice president, global sales and of John Flavell Smith to vice president, global marketing.

In his new role, Williams will be responsible for all product and services sales activities, including revenue generation, direct client sales processes, sales forecasting, and product pricing. Previously, he served as director, business eevelopment of Wireless Seismic.

Flavell Smith will be responsible for all corporate marketing, including marketing communications, market research, and strategic marketing for Wireless Seismic, as well as continuing to play a leading role in the business development for China, Indonesia, and Australia. Previously, he served as director, international business development of Wireless Seismic.
