Paradigm to Become a Sustaining Investor in SEG Distinguished Lecturer Series

The program provides a forum for leading geoscientists to share knowledge worldwide.

Amsterdam, Netherlands: March 27, 2012 — Paradigm™ (www.pdgm.com) is pleased to announce its sponsorship of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists Distinguished Lecturer Series as a "sustaining investor". Paradigm is making a five-year commitment totaling $250,000 to support this SEG Foundation initiative.

The Distinguished Lecture Program is designed to recognize outstanding individuals' contributions to the science or application of geophysics on an international level. The program also aims at promoting geophysics, stimulating general scientific and professional interest, expanding technical horizons, and providing a connection to SEG activities and practices. Each year, two Distinguished Lecturers are chosen to conduct global tours with more than thirty presentations each.

Together with CGGVeritas, Paradigm will support a series of lectures by the two selected honorees for 2012, Manika Prasad of the Colorado School of Mines, and Samuel Gray of CGGVeritas, in industry conferences, universities and professional organizations worldwide. Paradigm has been a SEG Foundation sustaining investor these past five years, jointly supporting with CGGVeritas the SEG Student Membership program.
