Election of SEG officers

10 March 2008—The following Active Members have been selected by the SEG Committee on Nominations as candidates for the 2008–2009 Executive Committee:

SEG's current president-elect, Larry Lines, will serve as president and Kees Wapenaar will complete the second year of his two year term as editor.

In addition to the executive committee election, five Districts are holding elections for representatives. District 3 has four seats to fill and Districts 4, 7, 10, and 11 have one seat to fill. The nominees are:

District 3 - Sergey Fomel, Konstantin S. Osypov, Karen K. Dittert, Arcangelo G. Sena, Jason R. McKenna, Nicolae Moldoveanu, Estella A. Atekwana, and Denis P. Schmitt

District 4 - Neil F. Hurley and Roger M. Turpening

District 7 - Dirk Johannes Gajewski, Alan George Green, and D.J. (Eric) Verschuur

District 10 - Karl-Andreas Berteussen and Moshe Reshef

District 11 - Apurba Saha and Tie Jun Wang

Nominations in writing, signed by at least 40 Active Members and accompanied by the written consent of the candidate and a brief biography, ready for publication, may be submitted prior to 15 May 2008. More information on the nominees and the election will appear in upcoming issues of The Leading Edge and on the SEG Web site.

Ballots will be sent to each member eligible to vote in the election between 1 June and 15 June. SEG is asking all members to update their member information, especially mailing address, e-mail, and SEG Section or Associated Society affiliation. A primary Section or Associated Society must be designated if you have multiple affiliations.
