Aker Exploration books BOS Arctic
28 May 2008—BOS has been awarded a contract by Aker Exploration to undertake 3D marine seismic services in the Norwegian Sea. The program will be approximately 300 square kilometers commencing Q3 2008, utilising BOS Arctic.

GeoRef now available with Engineering Village
28 May 2008—GeoRef, the most comprehensive bibliographic database in the geological sciences, is now available through Elsevier's Engineering Village search platform. 

GeoRef's 2.9 million references to geoscience journal articles, books, maps, conference papers, reports and theses are enhanced by the addition of a mapping tool, powered by Google Maps, that plots geographical locations corresponding to search results on a digital map. The option to view search results in a geographic region allows the researcher to visualize the global distribution of a research topic and is unique to the Engineering Village GeoRef offering.

Schlumberger acquires exclusive distribution rights to BabelFish production operations integration Software for upstream oil & gas
28 May 2008—Schlumberger announced the acquisition of exclusive distribution rights in the upstream oil and gas industry for the BabelFish production integration software from ISS Group, Ltd. Australia.

BabelFish is a framework that enables integration of diverse data from multiple production operation systems, field equipment, and management applications. Data is logically grouped and graphically displayed to mirror an organization’s exact real-time operational environment.

ISS will continue to market its real-time production management technologies to the midstream and downstream oil and gas, refining, minerals, chemicals, energy, manufacturing, and power industries.
