Dolphin has received a letter of intent for 3D survey

30 November 2012—Dolphin Geophysical has received a letter of intent for a 2.5-month 3D project offshore northwest Africa, with an undisclosed client. The survey will be acquired by the Artemis Arctic in direct continuation of the current project.

 

Paradigm inaugurates its online university program

3 December 2012—Paradigm announced the inauguration of Paradigm Online University, an eLearning expansion of its Global Training Program. This Web-based tool provides geoscience professionals with hands-on training in the skills needed to benefit fully from Paradigm's software solutions. They are designed as interactive, self-paced workflows that teach users how to maximize the use of Paradigm technology.

 

EMGS signs contract extension with Petrobras

3 December 2012—EMGS has signed a contract extension worth approximately US $12 million with Petrobras. As previously announced, data acquisition is ongoing with estimated completion in early January 2013.

 

Spectraseis to install new induced seismicity monitoring array in British Columbia, Canada

10 December 2012—Spectraseis has been awarded a new contract for the installation and data processing of a broadband seismic monitoring system in British Columbia.

The system, which will consist of high-sensitivity broadband seismometers installed both at he surface and downhole and Spectraseis' ISV-Pro Web-enabled software, will deliver real-time data on local seismicity to a major oil and gas producer with salt-water injection operations in British Columbia.

Spectraseis already operates several such arrays for oil and gas producers in the U.S.

 

EMGS receives letters of intent for 3D EM surveys in Asia

12 December 2012—Electromagnetic Geoservices ASA has received two letters of intent for contracts totaling approximately 10 weeks of 3D EM data acquisition in Asia. The surveys will be performed using the vessel EM Leader following completion of the previously announced contract for Shell in Malaysia.
