FairfieldNodal opens Moscow office

18 December 2012—FairfieldNodal announced the opening of a representative office in Moscow to provide seismic systems and technical support capabilities for customers in this important oil-producing region.

Denis Tomashin manages the new office for FairfieldNodal as its chief representative. Tomashin, a geologist and geophysicist, provides local expertise and industry knowledge pertinent to Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States. Prior to joining FairfieldNodal, he worked as the deputy director general for marine products for JSC SMNG-Center.

 

Anindya Ray to head sales in South and West Asia, southern FSUcountries

18 December 2012—Anindya Ray has joined the FairfieldNodal's systems sales division as the regional sales manager for South and West Asia, as well as the southern countries of the former Soviet Union.

Ray, a geologist by training, brings more than 20 years of experience to FairfieldNodal. He began his career as a field geologist, then became a geoscientist interpreter and later managed various E&P businesses associated with subsurface data acquisition, processing, and interpretation. Ray has personal familiarity with this region and sales and procurement experience with companies such as Halliburton, Schlumberger, and Fugro.

 

Fugro-Jason launches PowerLog 3.4 for Petrophysics

20 December 2012—Fugro-Jason announced the immediate availability of PowerLog 3.4, the latest version of its flagship petrophysical software.

PowerLog enables multiwell, multi-interpreter well-log interpretation, capillary pressure analysis, statistical mineralogy, facies classification, and rock physics modeling. The new version makes it easier and faster to perform complex petrophysical analysis. Smart batch loaders can rapidly load massive volumes of data—well headers, LAS files, deviation surveys, zones, zone parameters, and well tops. High-quality SDI print solutions improve output quality.

 

EMGS: Shell and EMGS sign global frame agreement

21 December 2012—Electromagnetic Geoservices ASA signed a three-year global frame agreement with Shell International Exploration & Production B.V. for the provision of 3D electromagnetic services.

 

TGS signs letter of intent for 3D Vessel

21 December 2012—TGS has signed a letter of intent with CGGVeritas Services S.A. to charter a 12-streamer vessel, for 3D multiclient projects in Europe during the 2013 summer season. The charter will begin in April and last for approximately six months.   

The details of the individual projects to be completed under this charter will be announced separately.
