15 October 2010—Electromagnetic Geoservices ASA has been awarded a shallow water survey in Malaysia worth more than US $2.5 million by a major oil company. These contract revenues will be recognized in late 2010. The 3D EM survey is currently under way using the vessel BOA Galatea.

MicroSeismic licenses Transform's TerraSuite software

18 October 2010—(MSI) has contracted with Transform Software & Services to license key components of its TerraSuite software system for imaging unconventional gas reservoirs. Transform's TerraSuite software will enhance MSI's ability to deliver interpretive microseismic information to its customers working in unconventional oil and gas reservoirs. As a result, these operators will better understand the microseismic implications for their unconventional projects so they can make faster and better completion decisions. There is no additional cost to MSI customers for these enhanced services.

As part of the agreement, MSI's development group will have access to Transform's full technology suite to support experimentation with new microseismic event location techniques and integration with geomechanical and other data types.
