Company Sponsorship Opportunities

The AAPG/SEG Student Expo gives you a cost-efficient avenue to link with potential new hires and interns to see their work and skills in a unique environment. There are two levels of participation to meet your recruiting needs: Platinum Exhibitor and Silver. Sponsorship of special events is also available for those seeking a higher profile visibility for their company.

Platinum Level Sponsorship,  $3,500
Ten passes to all Student Expo events
Exhibition booth, table and two chairs
Power supply to exhibit booth
Two private interview spaces
Online list of resumes and abstracts for all participating students
Prominent acknowledgement at event and on web page

Please note that Platinum sponsors may request the option of doubling their exhibit space at an additional cost of $1,000. Limited additional booth space is available on a first-come-first-served basis. There will be no additional interview booths or attendees at this special price.

Silver Level Sponsorship,  $1,700
Three passes to all Student Expo events

Exhibition table and two chairs
Power supply to exhibit booth
One private interview space
Online list of resumes and abstracts for all participating students
Acknowledgement at event and on web page

Please note that the cost of each additional attendee is $250 and each additional interview booth is $150.  Electricity for interview booths will be charged at $100/booth.

Special Sponsorship Opportunities
In addition to the above sponsorship options, companies may also sponsor:
     Breakfast - $5,000
     Coffee Break (day 1) - $5,000
     Coffee Break (day 2) - $5,000
     Lunch - $10,000
Ice Breaker and Dinner - $20,000
     Coastal field trip - $3,000
     Handouts - $2,000

Partial sponsorship is welcome for these special categories mentioned above. Please contact Sushanta Bose (sbose4u@gmail.com or 281-293-3473) for more information on these opportunities.

All sponsors of additional events will be gratefully recognized with 4 additional interview booths. These additional booths are generally offered in private interview rooms. However, due to the demand for these interview rooms (including 4 booths), priority for these rooms will be given to sponsors making the largest contributions.

Poster Judging
We welcome earth scientists of every technical expertise as Poster judges. Poster judging will take place Monday evening 5-9 p.m. during the Ice Breaker.  Poster judges that complete the judging forms are not considered additional company personnel.  Earth scientists interested in judging should commit their time to Robert Tscherny (RTscherny@chevron.com).

Field Trips
Recruiters are welcome to accompany the students on the Coastal Field Trip and attend the short courses on
Monday. This is a great opportunity to see the students in a very informal teaching atmosphere. If you or any of your people are interested, please contact Sushanta Bose (sbose4u@gmail.com).

Also of interest, the Expo Committee has been discussing ways to encourage poster session participants from the students. We believe the posters are a student's best way to generate interest from recruiters. Feedback from our participating recruiters support this. One idea is to offer students who submit and exhibit their poster the opportunity to enter a lottery. Lottery winners would be offered an exclusive, small group (six person) lunch with an oil company executive. We would like to offer your company the chance to participate in this program. Please let us know by 24 August if a company executive would like to host six students for lunch on the opening day of the Expo - Monday, 17 September. We will work with you to finalize the logistics at a later date.
