Speaker: Said Mahrooqi, Head of Geophysical Operations, Petroleum Development Oman, LLC

Said Mahrooqi obtained a BSc in Geological Science, emphasis Geophysics, from San Diego State University (USA) in 1992, and an MSc in Exploration Geophysics from Leeds University (UK) in 1996. Said's work experience includes land and marine seismic acquisition, VSP, microseismic and non-seismic techniques.   Since 2008, in this position with PDO, Said has been instrumental in the implementation of high channel seismic crews at 24-hr seismic operations, together with short sweep, slip sweep, and dynamic fleeting distance-separated simultaneous recording, and low-frequency seismic acquisition.
