Annual Meeting Attendee Tips

  • With thousands of attendees and hundreds of exhibitors, the SEG Annual Meeting can be a bit overwhelming. Identify your reasons for attending the meeting and what you hope to accomplish.
  • Make sure your time is well spent by planning out which events you would like to attend and which booths you would like to visit.
  • The Annual Meeting is a wonderful networking opportunity, so bring plenty of business cards, and don't be shy about introducing yourself.
  • Don't exhaust yourself. Take a break from time to time by having a snack or getting some fresh air.
  • Wear comfortable shoes. You will be spending a lot of time on your feet.

Dining

Visit one of the many restaurants in Mandalay Bay, host hotel for this year's Annual Meeting. From the fine American cuisine in Aureole to the more international faire atop THEhotel in the elegant Mix to the more causual dining in the Burger Bar, you're sure to find something that hits the spot without having to venture out too far.

Shopping

Located inside the sky bridge between Mandalay Bay and Luxor are the shops of Mandalay Place. Or, venture down the Strip and take advantage of the huge Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood. For high-end retail (and talking statues), spend some time at the famous Forum Shops at Caesars Palace.

Golf

Take advantage of the mild November weather in Las Vegas by hitting the links at one of more than 40 different public courses in town. Located near Mandalay Bay are the Bali Hai Golf Club, Shadow Creek, Royal Links Golf Club, and Desert Pines Golf Club. Whatever your skill level, there's a place for you to play--just don't forget to pack your clubs!

Attractions

While the roller coaster atop New York, New York may not be your cup of tea (or is it?), there are plenty of other diversions in town that will enable you to unwind after an intense day of programs and presentations. Stop by Shark Reef, a state-of-the-art aquarium located in Mandalay Bay, or take a short ride on the monorail to the Luxor where you can view Bodies...The Exhibition.
