Description

ElectroMagnetic methods have gained in popularity in the past 10 years. The marine industry is now stable and producing value. Onshore, the revival came from increased interest in geothermal and trying to translate the success from marine to land applications.

While the geophysics community has be asking for better integration of electromagnetic methods with seismics, the workhorse of the industry, progress has been limited to image co-rendering, cooperative and joint inversions. The SEG had a workshop on this subject a few years ago and good plans were shown at that time.

This year we will review the progress in integrating electromagnetics and seismic data. We will focus on acquisition, processing, interpretation, and integration of the two data types.
