This year's Annual Meeting includes an ever-growing toolbox of interactive, Web, and mobile tools designed to ensure that you get the most out of the experience. Some of SEG's digital tools are new this year while others are triedand- true Annual Meeting mainstays, and still others may seem familiar but have been enhanced with new functionality. Browse the list below to refresh your memory or cue in to new offerings! Rapid registration While SEG has always encouraged delegates to register for the Annual Meeting in advance, the registration area continues to bustle with excitement every year as last-minute attendees scramble to access the most important geosciences event of the year. This year, however, SEG has introduced innovations to allow you not only to register online throughout the term of the meeting, but waiting and processing times for in-person registration have been slashed as well—thanks to new technologies and processes. Now, reserving a place at the geosciences event of the year is as easy as swiping a barcode, picking up your delegate bag, and continuing on your way! The entire meeting, right in your pocket Following its successful debut in 2012, the SEG Annual Meeting mobile app will be making a triumphant return in 2013. With this mobile app you can keep close watch over where you are, where you need to be, and what you might be missing, via access to the entire schedule of Annual Meeting events, with the ability to save your own schedule as well. With so much activity and excitement, it's great to have a faithful friend to help keep you on task! This year's version boasts improved functionality, enhanced navigation through data, and an easy-to-use interface, all compatible with iOS (Apple) and Android, and Blackberry devices. Buzz and bytes on the Digital Wall Another returning favorite to this year's Annual Meeting is the SEG Digital Wall, a massive large-screen display next to the SEG Book Mart that offers a constant stream of presentations, interviews, SEG Houston 2013 news and information, and even the buzz from SEG social media networks, updated by the second. Whether you're stopping to get tuned in between sessions or pulling up a chair to watch presentations, you should make sure to pay regular visits to the Wall. Find the future on the exhibition floor The exhibition floor always offers a breathtaking display of the latest and greatest technologies in the petroleum industry, and this year is no different; delegates will be able to attend a high-performance computing presentation theater Plug in to SEG Houston 2013! directly on the exhibition floor, where exhibiting companies representing the high-performance computer industry can use this resource to offer advanced presentations to delegates who wish to learn more about developments in this exciting field. To visit the presentation theater, simply stop by booth 3501 on the exhibit floor. So many abstracts, so many options This year's Annual Meeting offers a record number of presentations— more than 1,000 as traditional oral/ poster sessions or as an ePoster. But don't worry about missing out; SEG has made a science of granting unhindered access to the entire Technical Program. Expanded abstracts can be downloaded direct from the SEG Digital Library, or via the ever-helpful technical sessions grid, which offers links to the Technical Program sessions. Please note that these materials will be available only to SEG members after the meeting ends, so if you haven't joined SEG yet, you should do so without delay! As in previous years, the full expanded abstracts (in PDF format) will be on an SEG USB drive for easy storage and handling, available for purchase from the SEG eShop or the SEG Book Mart. What's new this year, however, is that you can pre-order the Technical Sessions USB Drive at the same time you register. The same is true for those presentations which are recorded during the meeting and later made available on a USB drive. Don't forget to pre-order both USB drives when you register for the Annual Meeting! At the meeting Of course it goes without saying that this year's Annual Meeting will feature the most advanced technical conferencing solutions available. Need to check e-mail or catch up on work? Easily dine at the Internet Café on the exhibition floor (booth 3258). Or, simply fire up your own computer and catch the signal—the entire exhibit floor will be covered by a high-speed WiFi network. And don't worry if a session room is filled to capacity. "Overflow rooms" will have live video streaming of presentations, so you won't have to be physically present at a session to participate! SEG offers technical support to speakers and presenters as well, with workstations and resources available to assist preparation of materials.
