Annual Giving Donor clubs

The SEG Foundation has established two annual donor clubs to provide an opportunity for all members to contribute to our programs and activities. Donor club members will be recognized for their cumulative annual gifts. Unrestricted gifts are encouraged, as they provide a crucial portion of the funds needed to operate the programs and activities that the geophysical community needs.

Members may participate in more than one donor club.

High Velocity Society

Doodlebugger Society

This donor club, inspired by SEG’s success in members helping members, draws upon the colorful history of geophysics for its name. Contributions of US$50 to $999 support the SEG Foundation general operating fund, which is the backbone of all Foundation programs. Case histories show that member participation as a “Doodlebugger” marks the beginning of a very special and personal relationship with the SEG Foundation. Many donors increase their contributions over time as they become more engaged with the SEG Foundation’s many successful programs and activities. Students may participate with a gift of US$25 or more.

Doodlebugger Society members will receive donor club benefits such as name recognition in multiple publications, a Doodlebugger lapel pin, and with the highest level a watercolor print of the famous “Jug Hustler.”
