SEG Foundation Leadership

SEG Foundation leadership is comprised of many dedicated individuals, corporations, and sections/associated societies who give generously of their time, talent, and financial resources. Without the passion and commitment of our donors and volunteers, we could not succeed.

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is the governing body of the SEG Foundation. Our board is comprised of industry leaders who are passionate about geophysics and our professional community.

Committees

The important work of the SEG Foundation is carried out through the leadership of several committees. These committees include six administrative committees (to provide business guidance and to ensure our financial well being) and four grant program committees (to carry forward the mission of the SEG Foundation and to ensure that programs function effectively, while honoring our donors' intentions).

Our Donors

The SEG Foundation exists today because of the passion and generosity of our donors. Without financial support from the geophysical community, we would not be able to fulfill our mission. Your gift to the SEG Foundation makes a profound difference, by empowering us to Advance Geophysics Today and Inspire Geoscientists for Tomorrow.

Sustaining Investors

Corporate donors who donate US$250,000 or more are recognized for their support as Sustaining Investors.

Trustee Associates

The Trustee Associates are SEG members who share a commitment to the Society as well as to furthering the growth of the profession of geophysics. As our premier donor club, Trustee Associates are recognized for their lifetime contribution of $10,000 or more.

High Velocity

This distinguished donor club calls on the technical history of geophysics for its name. With determined commitment to Advance Geophysics Today and Inspire Geoscientists for Tomorrow, members choose their annual giving levels between US$1000 and $5000. High Velocity members receive special opportunities to engage with the leadership of SEG and the SEG Foundation, allowing for a higher level of involvement with Foundation activities.

Doodlebugger Society

This donor club, inspired by SEG's success in members helping members, draws upon the colorful history of geophysics for its name. Contributions of US$50 to $999 support the SEG Foundation general operating fund, which is the backbone of all Foundation programs. Students may participate with a gift of US$25 or more.
