"Risk Assessment and Advance Warning for Landslides in Brazil"
 
Geoscientists Without Borders® is transforming lives around the world by providing humanitarian application of geophysical solutions to global problems. Currently, 11 projects have received grant awards and have teams in the field, making not only an impact in those countries, but also impacting the reputation of geophysics around the world. One of the newest projects is underway in the mountainous, central northern region on the Rio de Janeiro state of Brazil.

EEGS photo The SEG Foundation would like to thank the Environmental Engineering and Geophysical Society Foundation for hosting a Geoscientists Without Borders® luncheon at SAGEEP Annual Meeting in April 2011. Stephen Moysey, Phd., University of Clemson, delivered his presentation on the GWB Groundwater Project in India. 100% of the proceeds were generously donated toward the funding of a future project.
