Graduated with a degree in geology in 1980 from UNISINOS University, Brazil. Received DEA and Ph.D. degrees in reservoir geophysics from Paris VI University, France in 1994 and 1997. In 2008, Paulo became the first Central & South America Regional SEG Honorary Lecturer. Since 2007, is the Reservoir Geophysics Corporate manager for Petrobras.
