Welcome to the Online Committee Community!

The Online Committee (OC) serves as a liaison between the SEG IT department and the wider SEG membership community to help establish and/or maintain the overall guiding structure of online content (i.e. feature stories, industry news, professional networking, etc.) while promoting the objectives of the Society.  The OC is continually striving to make SEG Online the prime web destination for all aspects of applied geophysics by:

• Soliciting online content through the engagement of other groups within SEG to maximize the effectiveness and utility of SEG Online.
• Working closely with the SEG Web Content staff, SEG committees, and SEG's associated societies to best serve the online community with the solicitation, development, and implementation of online content technologies.
• Recommending policy to enhance creativity, information sharing, and collaboration among all users of SEG's online content.
• Working closely with the SEG IT Department to recommend and integrate online publication features.
• Reporting to the Board of Directors via liaison Edith Miller and coordinating with SEG staff liaison Whitney Emerick.

After successfully contributing to the launch of the new SEG Online Collaboration (OLC) communities, the OC is presently maturing several other ideas, including enhanced sharing of geophysical software and datasets and a
