History

 The SEG Foundation has been in the business of growing exceptional geophysicists for more than 50 years. Since the very first SEG scholarship was awarded in 1956, our merit-based scholarship program has provided more than US $6 million to thousands of the best geoscience students in the world.

Committee members serve an eight year term. Each year they review hundreds of applications and match students with available scholarships. The committee also mentors these students throughout their academic year.  For more information contact rjacobs@seg.org.
