Welcome to the SEG Women's Network Community!
The mission of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists Women's Network is to:
- promote greater female engagement in SEG activities,
- create a community for mutual support among female SEG members,
- enhance recruiting of women to the profession, and
- improve retention of women in the industry.
The network's online community as well as gatherings at the annual and regional meetings will help establish these connections for support, collaboration and mentoring. We will also collaborate when possible with the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG), Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and the Association of Women Geoscientists (AWG).
2nd Annual Women's Network Breakfast
The SEG Women's Network will be holding the 2nd Annual Women's Network Breakfast on Wednesday, November 7th from 8:00am to 10:30am at the SEG Annual Meeting in Las Vegas, Nevada. Guest speaker will be Marcia McNutt, Director of the U.S. Geological Survey, followed by roundtable discussions on Women in Geophysics.
